Vilagarcía was the last station of the first railway line built in Galicia (1873), which linked Santiago de Compostela with its “natural port”. Today, that old station has become a museum in order to remind us of the importance of railways. For this way back to the past, we can count on mockups, explanatory panels, films as well as interactive games. Needless to say, there are also different scales of train models. The museum has achieved the standards required by SICTED- Spanish acronym for comprehensive quality system tourist destination – , which certifies the quality and continous improvement of the tourist experience.
